“When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die the world cries and you rejoice.”
Andrew was born in Vancouver. He grew up in Western Quebec and in the Gulf Islands, where he developed an appreciation for nature and became hooked on a rural lifestyle. He also lived in Paris, Burgundy, Montreal, Knowlton and Leiden. In 2010 he found a home with his family at Simiane-la-Rotonde, in the hills of Provence. Andrew is married and has five children.
Andrew’s passion for history and travel led to Revontuli, his debut novel, a romance set in Lappland during WWII inspired by true stories. Revontuli will be released in November 2013 by Booktrope Publishing
Andrew studied economics and law before embarking on a space career in both the public and private sectors. He was Senior Vice-President of MirCorp, the first company to fly commercial manned space missions and a pioneer of space tourism. He founded Athena Global, an international space consultancy, and still works on global disaster management using satellites.
Domaine de la Frouste is the sixteenth century farm and home to Andrew and his family. Amid house renovations, in which he continually hones masonry and carpentry skills, Andrew grows and sells an ancient grain called einkorn when he's not writing books.
